Overview

Everett A. Holum has been practicing various areas of law for the past 29 years in the Puget Sound Region. From 1970 to 1972, he worked for the City of Tacoma as an Assistant City Attorney prosecuting various criminal cases as well as land use violations. Then, from 1972 to 1977 he worked as a sole practitioner. In 1977, after working at the City Attorney's Office in Tacoma, Washington, Mr. Holum, along with three partners, opened a new law firm. While practicing law at McCarthy, Holum, Causseaux & Rourke, P.S., Mr. Holum managed cases involving real estate law, property management, estate planning, probate, personal injury, and represented several governmental agencies regarding business and liability claims. Since 1993, he has been a sole practitioner.

Currently, Mr. Holum emphasizes in unlawful detainer actions, probate, estate planning, and real estate issues. Mr. Holum is also affiliated with Washington Probate Services, Inc. ("WPS"), which is a probate company for estates probated in Washington State. WPS may assist or act as personal representative in cases where no one is available to serve in that capacity or in cases where the estate is in dispute. For example, WPS, provides assistance to landlords who are faced with distributing the property of a deceased tenant with no identifiable relatives.
